General Auto Spares Company (GASCO) was established in the year 1971 by a group of enterprising technocrat entrepreneurs under the leadership of Mr. C Venkataraman as General Asbestos Company. The group pooled in their experience and know-how in friction material technology to build the enterprise. Mr. Venkataraman had a vision to build a customer centric enterprise in an era when the Indian Economy was a seller's market. He gave up a successful career as a development engineer, which spanned over reputed corporations like HAL, Ashok Leyland, Rane Madras and Rane Brak Linings to fulfil his vision.
The legacy of the founder continues to thrive till date and brand GASCO, serves its customers in India and abroad with precision engineered quality friction products.
